Detailed Trip Description

Spend six days driving down the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. Pick up your rental car in San Francisco, with time to experience the “City by the Bay." Visit Fisherman's Wharf, take a bay cruise with magnificent views of the Golden Gate Bridge, or visit Alcatraz Island. Next, head south on Highway 1 to Monterey. Don't miss stunning 17-Mile Drive with stops at Point Joe, Fanshell Beach, and the famed Lone Cypress. South to San Simeon where you can visit magnificent Hearst Castle, then on to Denmark-inspired Solvang. Take a short drive to Santa Barbara and consider visiting the Santa Barbara Mission and Steams Wharf. Last stop: the bright lights of Los Angeles. Drive through Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and see Mann's Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Drop off your rental car and conclude your memorable vacation.
