Bounded by two of the world's mightiest mountain ranges, the Karakoram in the north and the Great Himalaya in the south, it is traversed by two other parallel chains, the Ladakh Range and the Zanskar Range. In contrast to its stark landscape, the people of this region are warm and friendly. The tour covers the monasteries of Leh, driving through beautiful lands and crossing the Khardongla Pass (highest motorable pass in the world) and the Tsomoriri Lake, where one can view the bird life of the region.
