Detailed Trip Description
In this 5 day trekking tour, you will climb to the Mahameru, Mt Bromo, Mt Argopuro and Mt Semeru Peaks.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Surabaya
Private Car Service
Pick-up service at Juanda Airport of Surabaya then proceed to Tumpang Village. Upon arrival in Tumpang we continue our trip to Ranu Pane by 4WD/Truck.
Hotel
Arrival in Ranu Pane and have a rest at Climbers Hut. Overnight at Ranu Pane.
Day 2 - Indonesia
Hiking
In the early morning we start trekking so we can reach Kalimati or Arcapada before evening.
Sightseeing
On our way we will enjoy panoramic views of Mt Argopuro and Mt Semeru.
Food and Dining
We will reach Ranu Kumbolo around mid-day for resting and have lunch at this volcanic lake.
Hiking
After lunch we proceed to Kalimati which is a beautiful savanna located right at the foot of Mahameru Peak (The Highest Peak in Java).
Camping
Here in Kalimati, we spend a night in our tent.
Day 3 - Indonesia
Mountain Climbing
In the early morning we will start climbing to the Mahameru Peak via Arcapada (1 hour walk in a very steep condition) and continue 3 hour walk (average duration) from Arcapada to the Peak.
Food and Dining
After reaching the peak we will return to Kalimati to rest and have lunch.
Camping
After lunch we will proceed to Ranu Kumbolo and open camp here for overnight stay.
Day 4 - Indonesia
Hiking
After breakfast we return back to Ranu Pane but we will take another route via Ayak-Ayak.
Sightseeing
Soon after reaching Ranu Pane we will rest and continue our trip to Cemorolawang.
Hotel
We will spend tonight in a hostel/guest house at Cemorolawang.
Day 5 - Surabaya
Sightseeing
Very early in the morning we will drive by 4WD Jeep to Penanjakan Peak to enjoy a beautiful sunrise at Mt Bromo, then cross the Sea of Sand and climb up the mountain. Return back to hostel/guest house for breakfast and check-out.
Airport Transfer
After check-out we take you back to Juanda Airport of Surabaya for your return flight.
