Transfer to Djuma Game Reserve in the Sabi Sands.
Early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives with an experienced game ranger give you a deep understanding of the flora and fauna with a chance to see elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo, and other game. 2 nights Djuma Lodge.
After a final game drive, you leave Djuma and take a scenic drive along the Blyde River Canyon to visit the Three Rondavels, Bourne’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window. This is a beautiful area of tumbling streams, waterfalls, indigenous woodland & forest.
The day ends at the welcoming Chestnut Country Lodge, set on a litchi farm with magnificent valley views.
This morning you visit the Sabie Falls. In the afternoon you visit Pilgrim's Rest, a restored mining village that was the centre of a gold rush in the late 19th century and the town’s many restored houses and museums bring this fascinating history alive.
Continue to Swaziland via Barberton and the Saddleback pass. The Swazis are renowned craftsmen and you can buy superb examples of basketware, colour fabrics, carvings and mother of pearl. We stop at a couple of craft markets en route to captivating Reilly’s Rock Lodge where we spend two nights. Set against the backdrop of the Ndzimba Mountain with commanding views of Mlilwane’s game-studded plains, the atmosphere is one of peace and tranquillity, with an almost spiritual link to years gone by.
The morning is at leisure to enjoy one of the following optional activities: gentle horse-riding in Mlilwane Reserve, 18 holes of golf, white water rafting, hiking or some relaxing beauty therapies.
In the afternoon you visit the Mantenga Falls and cultural village, a faithful replication of a middle sized Swazi homestead of a century ago.
This morning you visit the Ngwenya glass workshops.
Leave the Kingdom of Swaziland and returning to Johannesburg in time for your onward flight.
