Detailed Trip Description
To start your life together with a Africa Safari honeymoon, this trip will give you heartfelt memories for a lifetime. As we custom design South Africa, and Southern Africa honeymoons, together we will create the ideal honeymoon to meet your budget, time frame, and lifestyle.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Mpumalanga
Private Car Service
Arrival and transfer to the lodge. Stay at Ivory Lodge.
Food and Dining
A light lunch will be served on the lodge viewing deck overlooking the Sabie River.
Sightseeing
The afternoon is at leisure to explore your new environment.
Safari
Afternoon tea is served on the deck before departing on your evening game drive.
Food and Dining
Return to the lodge to freshen up for dinner. A bottle of chilled sparkling wine will be waiting for you in your room to enjoy with dinner or perhaps after. Dinner is served at the lodge.
Day 2 - Mpumalanga
Safari
Wake up with tea & coffee served at the wooden viewing deck before heading out on the morning game drive.
Adventure
A full breakfast is served at the lodge. After breakfast depart for Shangana Cultural Village, a cultural tour with lunch (clients to be given a traditional Shangaan wedding gift).
Spa/Wellness
Return to lodge where clients have an option of either an evening game drive or health spa treatment.
Food and Dining
Dinner is served out in the bush around a large open fire surrounded by lanterns in the trees & the stars in the sky. After dinner the client is transferred back to the Lodge.
Sightseeing
Option of combining a Panorama Tour with a Shangana Cultural Village visit is possible having lunch in one of the mountain villages.
Ballooning
Option of a Sunrise Hot Air Ballooning safari & Panorama tour.
Day 3 - South Africa
Adventure
Early morning bush walk at predetermined time arranged with Ranger.
Food and Dining
Experience a magnificent bush breakfast on one of the open platforms over looking the perennial Sabie River.
Spa/Wellness
Return to the Lodge were the full range of relaxing treatments are available at the Lalamuka Health Spa or perhaps an opportunity to relax alongside the swimming pool, soaking up the African sun until lunch is served.
Relaxation
The afternoon is spent relaxing at the lodge or perhaps attending the wildlife lecture that is hosted by one of the rangers.
Safari
Afternoon tea is served on the deck before departing on your evening game drive.
Food and Dining
Return to the lodge to freshen up for dinner. Dinner is served under the stars in the African Boma.
Sightseeing
The option of a spending a night out under the stars is available on the "The Tree House" platform.
Day 4 - South Africa
Safari
Sleep-in (option of morning game drive or bush walk will be available)
Food and Dining
A full breakfast is served at the Lodge.
Adventure
Get taken to one of the private hides for a relaxing few hours watching the wildlife come down to the river to drink, relax, read a book & soak up the environment.
Food and Dining
A private lunch is arranged at the hide.
Sightseeing
Spend the afternoon at the hide or return to the Lodge.
Safari
Afternoon tea is served on the deck before departing on your evening game drive.
Food and Dining
Return to the lodge to freshen up for dinner. Formal dinner is served on the wooden deck overlooking the Sabie River (a special gift from the Lion Sands Team is waiting in your room when you return from dinner & a special "flower" turndown).
Day 5 - South Africa
Adventure
Sleep-in (option of morning game drive or bush walk will be available).
Food and Dining
Breakfast is served at the Lodge.
