Detailed Trip Description

Wild Coast = Northern area of the eastern Cape with beautiful mountains, valleys, indigenous forests, beaches, local villages, art and crafts stands, scenic waterfalls plunging into the ocean, and warm friendly people. Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - 2 - Durban

 
Beach

Pick up at Durban airport, drive to secluded beach side comfortable first class resort, about 4 hrs away, nestled in between villages, and next to the ocean, where you will stay for 2 Nights.

Sightseeing

Experience village walks, canoe trips, beach walks, waterfall trips, horse riding on the beach, journeys through the local villages, and of course relax and do nothing. 2 nights in an ocean view room.


Day 3 - 4 - South Africa

 
Beach

3rd Day: drive 2hrs away to Port St Johns and settle in at a first class resort once again on the beach. You will stop at arts and crafts stalls along the way, and enjoy the drive through magnificent Indigenous forests. You will stay here for 2 nights.

Sightseeing

Experience village walks, canoe trips, beach walks, waterfall trips, horse riding on the beach, walks through the local villages, and of course relax and do nothing. 2 nights in an ocean view room.


Day 5 - Umtata

 
Sightseeing

Drive to Umtata, 2hrs away, and visit the Nelson Mandela Museum, visit his home village, before continuing onward partly via the rural Transkei (Wild Coast) enjoying rural villages, scenic rural life, ending of at Alice in a local B and B.


Day 6 - Cape Town

 
Sightseeing

Enjoy a visit to the historic University of Fort Hare , see a local art gallery, past political archives from the ANC, PAC, and Steve Biko, drive to East London , from where you will fly out, stopping along the way to visit Steve bikos home, and if lucky a chance to meet Mrs Biko, his grave, and walk through a local shopping area for villagers.

Airport Transfer

You will leave this area filled with memories of South Africa that will last a lifetime.
