Then it’s on over the Constantiaberg Mountains, to Soetwater where we begin our optional cycle with a total distance of 24km ending in the Cape Point Nature Reserve where we will serve a buffet-style picnic lunch. We will then continue on to Cape Point, where you can choose to climb the hill to the lighthouse or take the funicular up. There is also a 1/2 hour cliff top hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope - the South-westernmost tip of the African continent (or take the bus). On our return home we will visit a rare colony of African penguins at Boulders Beach in False Bay. We then follow the road past the southern suburbs back to the city.
