You will visit national parks in L. Mburo, Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale, Semuliki & Murchison. Situated in South Western Uganda, this Afromontane forest is characterized by dense under storey of fern, vines and shrubs with over 324 species of trees. Bwindi's treasure lies in the fact that it is home to over half the world's population of the highly endangered mountain Gorillas. Located in the western arm of the East African Rift valley, Queen Elizabeth park is bordered by Lake George and lake Edward; the two are connected by Kazinga Channel. This park in terms of biodiversity is one of the most highly rated parks in the world. It includes open savannah, green meadows, semi-deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps. Situated in North Western Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park is the largest in the country and is bisected by the rive Nile. This park comprises half of the major biomes in the world including tropical wood lands, tropical savannah, tropical deciduous forests, permanent swamps and tropical evergreen forests. Situated in western Uganda, southeast of Fort portal, lays one of Uganda's most accessible rainforests, the Kibale forest. It is known to have the most diverse and the highest number of primates in Africa. It also has the highest concentration of forest elephants in Uganda. This park is ranked high as the ultimate destination to the endangered chimpanzees. Located in the western arm of the East African Rift valley, this Queen Elizabeth park is bordered by Lakes George and Edward and the two are connected by Kazinga Channel. This park in terms of biodiversity is one of the most highly rated parks in the world. It includes, open savannah, green meadows, semi-deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps. Found in the southwestern part of Uganda, Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest and closest park to Kampala. With a rich biodiversity, it contains about 68 species of mammals and a variety of bird species.
After breakfast, depart to southwestern Uganda for our first stop over at the Equator. The equator is an invisible hot line that separates the northern hemisphere from the south and is a very famous spot for photography and for buying souvenirs.
Our next stopover is at Lake Mburo national park. This park, which surrounds an entire Lake, is covered by acacia woodland. The main activities here will be a game drive, a boat ride and some guided lakeside walks. It is the best park to see gigantic eland antelopes, herds of zebra, topi, sitatunga. You can also see over 300 species of birds including pelicans, black crake, cormorant, harrier hawk, barefaced go-away bird, papyrus gonalek, and the rare shoebill stork.
Over night and dinner at Lake Mburo tented camp, Matana tented camp, or Rwonyo rest camp.
Drive to Bwindi, a luxuriously vegetated and practically impenetrable forest. To get there, drive through the mountainous and heavily terraced Kigezi Highlands also known as the “Switzerland of Africa," with a stopover at Lake Bunyonyi.

After breakfast and briefing from your guide, make an early morning entry into this spectacular rainforest. This incredible dense forest is home to the endangered mountain gorillas and also to other primates like the l'hoest monkeys, blue monkeys and red tailed monkey. Also see animals like buffalo, elephant, leopard, and an array of bird life. Though trekking is tedious, the excitement of coming face to face with the Gorillas is more than worth the effort!

After a refreshing night, re-enter the park for either a nature-guided walk or go for a village walk.

After breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park. This park has a varied eco-system that includes tropical forests, grassy plains, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters. This contrasts sharply with the dense forests of Bwindi. Enter the park through the Ishasha sector, famous for the “tree- climbing” lions. You will also pass by herds of buffalo and kob.

Early morning breakfast to be followed by a game drive. Opportunity to see lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, topis, bushbuck.
In the afternoon have a dazzling cruise on the beautiful Kazinga channel and see hippos, crocodiles and very many water birds.
Drive back to Mweya safari lodge known for its luxurious accommodation and fine cuisine.
Leave early morning for Semuliki national park. This park is about 50 km from fort portal is an extension of the vast Ituri forest, and is home to mammals like elephants, chimps, pygmy antelopes and de Brazza's monkey. The birds among others include about 40 species found nowhere else in Uganda. You shall have a nature guided walk to the Sempaya Hot springs.

Continue with the search for chimps and primates like the de Brazza's monkey. Bird lovers will enjoy a filled day.

Drive to Kibale forest.
This rain forest is home to 13 primate species. This includes the red colobus and L'hoests monkey that are localized to this park.
After lunch, you may opt to rest or have a visit to Mabere cave.
Overnight at Ndali lodge or Rwenzori guesthouse.
After breakfast, travel to Kibale forest for chimpanzee tracking. Visit Bugodi wet land and a bird sanctuary.

After breakfast, drive through Kagadi and hoima town to Murchison Falls national park. This massive park is the biggest in Uganda and protects a chunk of untamed African savannah.
Overnight at the luxurious Paraa lodge or Sambiya river lodge.
An early morning game drive on the northern bank. Your guide will help you spot hartebeest, cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, lion, waterbuck, oribi, hyena and if lucky the leopard.
After lunch, take a launch trip to the bottom of the Murchison falls. From the comfort of your boat, spot schools of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and water birds like the rare shoebill stork, kingfisher, and hornbill.
Dinner and rest at Paraa safari lodge or Sambiya River lodge.
After breakfast, drive leisurely to the top of the falls. You will be dazzled at the sight of the Nile compressing itself through a narrow canyon of about 6 meters, then exploding violently and creating a beautiful rainbow and plume of spray. Not only is this sight exciting but it is also one of the most forcefull natural water sources not found any where in the world. After lunch there is another game drive; you may be able to spot what you could have missed before!

Drive back to Kampala through Masindi and the famous Luwero triangle. Along the way, view traditional farms and homesteads, arriving in Kampala in the evening.
