Detailed Trip Description

This road package takes you to The Maasai Mara; the center of the famous, all New Seventh Wonder Of The World found in Kenya’s & East Africa's finest game sanctuary. Perhaps one of the most spectacular events of the natural world takes place here: The great annual Savannah Migration! Millions of wildebeest and zebras migrating from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of water and pasture. Trailling on their heels, the predators of the savannah- lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas and vultures. Away from the migration, the Mara also offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see the Big Five- lion, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and elephant, not to mention numerous plains animals. The famous Maasai tribesmen also live within the dispersal area of the game reserve.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Nairobi

 
Nairobi – Maasai Mara.
Bus

At 7am you will start your drive towards Massai Mara via the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in time for lunch.

Sightseeing

Along the way we will have a distant view of Mt. Longonot, Mt. Margaret and Mt. Suswa.

Safari

At 4pm you will embark on an afternoon game drive which will end at dusk.

Safari

Enjoy the variety and abundance of wildlife the Mara has to offer. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You may easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. With this, get to enjoy the scenic beauty of the vast savannah backdrop and take delight in the African sunset. Nothing beats this combination!

Hotel

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa/ Mara Simba Lodge.


Day 2 - Kenya

 
Maasai Mara.
Safari

Early morning game drive in the Mara will begin at 6:30am. You will return to the lodge for breakfast.

Relaxation

Spend the rest of the morning at leisure.

Safari

After lunch at the lodge, you will have some time off. At 4pm you will proceed to an afternoon game drive till dusk.

Hotel

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa/ Mara Simba Lodge.


Day 3 - Kenya

 
Maasai Mara – Nairobi.

Ballooning

Take the opportunity to fly over the Mara in a Hot air Balloon provided at an extra cost. The balloon package includes a champagne breakfast in the wild! viewing abundant game afloat a balloon is an unforgettable experience.

Bus

After breakfast, return to Nairobi arriving around 1pm.
