Day 1 - Switzerland

 
Arrival Gentilino.
Airport Transfers

Arrival and Transport to Gentilino.

Day 2 - Switzerland

 
Gentilino (372m) - Agra (655m).
Mountain Climbing

Climbing through Montagnola, where Hermann Hesse and George Harrison lived.

Museums

Visit to the former’s tombstone and museum.

Food and Dining

Lunch in Agra.

Hiking

Descent towards Figino. (time estimate, without pauses 3h)

Optional
Running

Walk to Olivella (1.5h).


Day 3 - Switzerland

 
Olivella - Vico Morcote - Parco Botanico and return.
Sightseeing

Olivella - Vico Morcote - Parco Botanico and return. Paths in the woods, old churches, and the beautiful botanic garden of Carona.


Day 4 - Lugano

 
Melide - Carona - Monte San Salvatore, Lugano.
Mountain Climbing

We climb along an old path from Melide to Carona and then walk to Ciona for a pause. From there we climb up through the woods to the emblematic mount of Lugano, the San Salvatore.

Hiking

Descent towards the city, on foot or cable car (Optional).


Day 5 - Lugano

 
Lugano - Gandria.
Sightseeing

Walk along the beautiful lake-side of Lugano, through the park, pass the old Villas and then the sentiero di Gandria until the picturesque village of Gandria.

Sightseeing

Return by boat to Lugano; Free afternoon / evening in Lugano.


Day 6 - Lugano

 
Sightseeing

Excursion around the World Heritage Site of Monte San Giorgio, famous for its fossils.


Day 7 - Switzerland

 
Caprino - Campione.
Sightseeing

Boat ride to Border museum, then walk along the shore opposite Lugano to the Italian enclave of Campione and back by boat.

Airport Transfers

Return home.
