Detailed Trip Description

Enjoy 23 Days London to Athens tour featuring sightseeing and many activities in France, Spain, Monaco, Italy, Vatican City and Greece. Once in Paris, you will be able to enjoy an Evening Tour of Illuminations. The next morning, see the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Champs Élysées, and Notre Dame Cathedral. You will also be able to visit the renown Château Versailles. In Beaujolais, enjoy a delicious wine tasting followed by a French picnic lunch. You then will travel to Provence to see the Roman Aqueduct at Pont du Gard, followed by a trip to the historic city of Arles. Then it's to Spain where you will see Gaudi's Art Nouveau Cathedral and the 1992 Olympic Games complex in Barcelona. Before you leave, don't forget to walk through the Gothic Quarter. Next is the French Riviera where you can enjoy a scenic drive along the Riviera coast. Visit Monaco and see the Royal Palace. Hold on to your cash when you visit a Monte Carlo casino! Don't forget to buy some gifts for your family at an authentic French Perfumery. Time to leave France and travel to Italy where you can visit Juliet's Balcony and the Roman Arena in Verona. Then you can take a private motorboat to the historic islands of Venice. There you can see Piazza San Marco, Bridge of Sighs and the Doges' Palace. Then experience incredible Murano glass-blowing and Burano lace-making demonstrations. See the Leaning Tower of Pisa and then take a leisurely walking tour with a local guide in Florence. Then see the Duomo, Basilica Santa Croce, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistry & Piazza della Signoria. Even experience a skilled Florentine leather craft demonstration. Travel to Rome and see Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Colosseum and Roman Forum. Then to Vatican City to see St. Peter's Basilica. Day 3 - Paris

 
London to Paris.

A warm welcome from your Crew as we head for the White Cliffs of Dover and the Channel crossing to France.

We drive past World War I battlefields to the splendour of Paris. ( Dinner )


Day 4 - 5 - Paris

 
Sightseeing

Two full days to see some of the most celebrated icons in Europe. The best way to experience the "City of Lights" is on our included Illuminations Tour.

Day 8 - Barcelona

Our journey south today takes us to the impressive Roman aqueduct at Pont du Gard. As we skim past the Pyrénées we catch our first glimpse of the world-famous Mediterranean and arrive in vibrant Barcelona. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 9 - Barcelona

 
Sightseeing

Our included sightseeing tour is a great introduction to this celebrated city. See Gaudi's Sagrada Familia Cathedral, the 1992 Olympic Complex and the Gothic district.

Shopping

A chance to experience Barcelona's famed shopping street La Rambla and discover some of Spain's specialties.

Performing Arts

Tonight why not experience the passion of Flamenco dancing? ( Breakfast )


Day 10 - Barcelona

 
Barcelona to French Riviera.
Sightseeing

We return to France today and travel through the beautiful Provence region to Arles. Wander through the streets as the Romans once did in this historic town, before continuing to the glamorous French Riviera. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 11 - Spain

 
French Riviera.
Sightseeing

Today we visit a French perfumery before heading to Nice. Stroll down the fashionable Promenade des Anglais for a spot of shopping or simply relax on the beach.

Gambling

Tonight we visit Monaco! View the Royal Palace and take the opportunity to try your luck at the casinos of Monte Carlo. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 12 - Venice

 
French Riviera to Venice.

Today we leave France and enter Italy! We skim past the seaside city of Genoa and stop in Verona, home of Romeo and Juliet, before arriving in mainland Venice. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 13 - Venice

 
Sightseeing

A short boat ride takes us into the historical centre of Venice to see St. Mark's Square, the Doges' Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs. See glass and lace making demonstrations and why not treat yourself to a gondola ride? ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 14 - Florence

 
Venice to Florence.
Sightseeing

We travel to Pisa, home of the famous Leaning Tower. From here it's a short journey to the most spectacular of Renaissance cities, Florence. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 15 - Florence

Your day includes a walking tour seeing the Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo and Santa Croce, and a chance to shop for leather, gold and silver.

In your free time maybe visit one of the city's many museums.

Nightlife

This evening enjoy the colourful Florentine nightlife. ( Breakfast )


Day 16 - Rome

 
Florence to Rome.

All roads lead to Rome where our included sightseeing tour is the perfect introduction to the Eternal City.

Day 17 - Rome

Once at the centre of the powerful Roman Empire this city, steeped in centuries of ancient history, awaits your discovery. The Colosseum, Imperial Forum and the treasures of the Vatican City make for a day of serious sightseeing. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 18 - Rome

 
Rome to Corfu.

A chance to take a guided tour of the ancient city of Pompeii.

Ferry

Afterwards we travel across Italy to board our overnight ferry to Greece. ( Breakfast )


Day 19 - 21 - Greece

 
Corfu.
Sightseeing

Three sun-filled days on the beautiful Greek island of Corfu. Windsurf, waterski, parasail, swim or just soak up the sun. Get off the beaten track in an open-top 4-wheel drive jeep or cruise along the coast.

Performing Arts

At night an opportunity to enjoy the local cuisine and try your hand (or feet) at Greek dancing. ( Breakfast, Breakfast, Breakfast, Dinner, Dinner )


Day 22 - Athens

 
Corfu to Athens.

Today we travel through the Peloponnese and across the Corinth Canal to Athens. ( Breakfast )

This morning our city tour includes the first modern Olympic stadium, the Acropolis and the Parthenon, concluding near the Plaka. ( Breakfast )

Airport Transfer
