Detailed Trip Description

Enjoy 22 Days European Experience tour featuring sightseeing and many activities in France, Monaco, Italy, Vatican City, Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Netherlands and Belgium. Start this tour off with an Evening Tour of Illuminations of Paris. See the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Champs Élysées, and Notre Dame Cathedral and the Chateau Fontainebleau before enjoying wine tasting and a French picnic lunch in Beaujolais. Take the scenic Drive along the Riviera coast and visit Monaco, a Monte Carlo Casino, a French Perfumery & see the Royal Palace while in the French Riviera. Stop by Pisa to see the Leaning Tower before heading towards Florence where you will take a walking tour with a local guide, see the Duomo, Basilica Santa Croce, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistry & Piazza della Signoria, and see a Florentine leather craft demonstration. Next off, you will go to Rome to see Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Colosseum & Roman Forum. Stop in Vatican City to see St. Peter's Basilica before heading to Venice with a private motorboat. While in Venice, see Piazza San Marco, Bridge of Sighs and the Doges' Palace, and watch Murano glass-blowing & Burano lace-making demonstrations. You will take the Brenner Pass, a scenic drive past vineyards, orchards & castles before arriving to the picturesque area, known as Austrian Tyrol, which is famous for adventure sports. Stop through Munich to see the Glockenspiel & Marienplatz, and visit Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein before arriving in Lucerne where you will see the Wooden Chapel Bridge and enjoy a scenic drive through the Alps. Before heading off for a scenic drive along the Rhine River and a visit of the riverside town St. Goar in the Rhine Valley, you will stop to see th Medieval Castle in Heidelberg. Amsterdam is your next and final stop on the tour. There you can see the canals, gable houses and city by night, visit a fishing and cheese village and a cheese farm & clog maker's house. Finally, enjoy a bicycle tour of the Dutch countryside.

Day 2 - London

Check-in to your hotel after 2pm.

Then enjoy the day exploring London. Tonight, meet your Tour Manager and fellow travellers for a pre-departure meeting.


Day 3 - Paris

 
London to Paris.
Sightseeing

A warm welcome from your Crew as we head for the White Cliffs of Dover and the Channel crossing to France. We drive past World War I battlefields to the splendour of Paris. What better way to begin than with an evening tour of the "City Of Lights"? (Dinner)


Day 4 - Paris

 
Sightseeing

Today's sightseeing includes some of the most celebrated icons of Europe.

Perhaps take the opportunity to visit the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe or the Champs Elysées.

Food and Dining

Tonight, why not complete your Parisian experience with a French meal and a famous Parisian cabaret? (Breakfast)


Day 5 - Paris

 
Paris to Beaujolais Wine Region.

Today's journey leads us at an exclusive Château de Cruix nestled in the Beaujolais vineyards near Lyon. (Breakfast, Dinner)


Day 6 - France

Sightseeing

This morning explore the French countryside and enjoy your included picnic lunch.

Relaxation

In the afternoon relax and soak up the idyllic atmosphere of rural France. (Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner)


Day 7 - France

 
Beaujolais Wine Region to French Riviera.
Bus

South today, to the fabulous Côte d'Azur via the famous Autoroute de Soleil.

Nightlife

Tonight we visit Monaco! See the Royal Palace and take the opportunity to try your luck at the casinos of Monte Carlo. ( Breakfast )


Day 8 - Florence

 
French Riviera to Florence.
Sightseeing

We visit a French perfumery before continuing to Pisa, home of the Leaning Tower.

Bus

From here it's a short journey to the most spectacular of Renaissance cities, Florence. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 9 - Florence

 
Sightseeing

Your day includes a walking tour seeing the Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo and Santa Croce.

Shopping

A chance to shop for leather, gold and silver.

Museums

In your free time maybe visit one of the city's many museums.

Nightlife

This evening enjoy the colourful Florentine nightlife. (Breakfast)


Day 10 - Rome

 
Florence to Rome.
Sightseeing

All roads lead to Rome where our included sightseeing tour is the perfect introduction to the Eternal City.

This afternoon why not discover this city of Gladiators with a local guide? Then, do as the Romans do and stroll past the Trevi Fountain, the amazing Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. ( Breakfast )


Day 11 - Rome

Once at the centre of the powerful Roman Empire this city, steeped in centuries of ancient history, awaits your discovery. The Colosseum, Imperial Forum and the treasures of the Vatican City make for a day of serious sightseeing. (Breakfast, Dinner)


Day 12 - Venice

 
Rome to Venice.
Sightseeing

Soak in the changing scenery of Italy as we drive past golden plains, vineyards and quaint hilltop towns to Venice, our home for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 13 - Venice

 
Sightseeing

A short boat ride takes us into the historical centre of Venice to see St. Mark's Square, the Doges' Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs.

See glass and lace making demonstrations and why not treat yourself to a gondola ride? (Breakfast, Dinner)


Day 14 - Venice

 
Venice to Austrian Tyrol.
Bus

Today we leave Italy and travel over the spectacular Brenner Pass.

Rafting

Take the opportunity to go white water rafting in the heart of the Austrian Alps before a special welcome awaits you at Gasthof. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 15 - Austria

 
Austrian Tyrol.
Adventure

The picture-postcard village of Hopfgarten is an excellent base to make the most of the beautiful countryside. Experience a vast range of outdoor activities: hiking, mountain biking, paragliding or perhaps trout fishing. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 16 - Munich

 
Austrian Tyrol to Munich.
Sightseeing

On to Bavaria's lively capital Munich, home to the Oktoberfest. Our orientation tour includes the town centre with its historic Glockenspiel.

Food and Dining

Maybe join us this evening at one of the city's traditional Beer Halls. ( Breakfast )


Day 17 - Munich

 
Munich to Swiss Alps.
Sightseeing

We stop for lunch in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein.

Enjoy time to shop and see the sights in Lucerne before reaching our idyllic stop in the Swiss Alps. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 18 - Switzerland

 
Swiss Alps.
Hiking

A spectacular day where you can choose to hike the many trails or maybe enjoy a trip up the snow-covered Jungfrau mountain on a cog railway that passes through the Eiger mountain! ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 19 - Germany

 
Swiss Alps to Rhine Valley.
Sightseeing

Heading north we re-enter Germany and visit the university town of Heidelberg on the banks of the Neckar River.

Hotel

Tonight we stay in the picturesque Rhine Valley after seeing the famous Lorelei and hearing how German beersteins are crafted in St. Goar. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 20 - Amsterdam

 
Rhine Valley to Amsterdam.
Sightseeing

We cross the Dutch border and make our way towards Amsterdam. Visit a cheese farm and see how clogs are made.

Bicycling

Cycle through the countryside and the village of Edam.

Nightlife

Enjoy the famous Amsterdam nightlife. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 21 - Amsterdam

 
Sightseeing

This morning why not take a canal bike ride to further explore Amsterdam? In your free time perhaps visit famous sights such as Anne Frank's House or the Van Gogh Museum.

Food and Dining

Tonight we celebrate our last evening together. ( Breakfast )


Day 22 - London

 
Amsterdam to London.
Airport Transfer

After breakfast, there will be a transfer for you to Schipol Airport (estimated arrival at 10:00 am) OR choose to take a complimentary transfer to central London with your Tour Manager and Driver and extend your stay. ( Breakfast )
