Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - On the Plane
Commercial Flight
Board your overnight transatlantic flight.
Day 2 - Madrid
Arrive In Madrid, Spain.
Airport Transfer
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
Food and Dining
Tonight, join your Tour Director and traveling companions for a Welcome Drink.
Hotel
Stay at Rafael Atocha (F).
Day 3 - Madrid
Toledo Excursion - Madrid.
Sightseeing
Travel to Toledo for a walking tour to the Synagogue, the Church of Santo Tomé and a local steel workshop. Return to Madrid, where your sightseeing highlights the Cervantes Memorial and the Puerta del Sol. Then take a walking tour including the Plaza Mayor. (B)
Day 4 - Sevilla
Madrid - Cordoba - Seville.
Sightseeing
Drive south to Puerto Lapice where, according to legend, a local innkeeper dubbed Don Quixote a knight. Next is Cordoba to visit the Mosque of the Caliphs.
Bus
Continue to Seville, the capital of Andalusia. (B,D)

Day 5 - Sevilla
Sightseeing
This morning tour the tree-lined streets of Seville and see the Bell Tower, the weather vane of the Giralda and the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park. Continue with a walking tour including the Jewish Quarter, the Cathedral, Christopher Columbus’ tomb and the beautiful Plaza de Espana.

Tonight, you might want to experience a little Spanish passion at a fiery Flamenco show? (B)
Day 6 - Granada
Seville - Granada.
Sightseeing
Enjoy a scenic drive to Granada and visit one of the most important sights in Spain, the Moorish Alhambra Palace. Enchanting gardens and fountains surround this fantasy of “lace in stone.” Delight in the wonderful views of the Old Quarter and Sacromonte, a mountain occupied by gypsy cave dwellers.

Day 7 - Valencia
Granada - Valencia.
Sightseeing
Travel over Mora Pass to the Troglodyte dwellings of Guadix. There is time to take pictures before continuing to Valencia. Here, an orientation tour features the Bull Ring, the great Cathedral and the Towers of Serrano and Cuarte. (B,D)

Day 8 - Barcelona
Valencia - Barcelona.
Sightseeing
Journey through the Levant region to Peñiscola. Then on to Barcelona for a sightseeing tour highlighting the architectural wonders of Gaudi, the Ramblas and the Plaza Catalunya. You will also take a walk through the Gothic Quarter with its magnificent Cathedral. (B)

Day 9 - Barcelona
Sightseeing
Take advantage of a full day at leisure to explore this fascinating city at your own pace.
Shopping
Maybe shop in the chic boutiques along Av. Diagonal, visit one of the many excellent museums or take an excursion to Montserrat.

Day 10 - Barcelona
Depart Barcelona.
Airport Transfer
