Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - On the Plane
Commercial Flight
Board your overnight transatlantic flight.
Day 2 - Zurich
Arrival In Zurich, Switzerland.
Airport Transfer
On your arrival at Zurich airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Sightseeing
Later this afternoon, take an orientation tour of Switzerland's capital.
Food and Dining
Early this evening, enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director.

Stay at Renaissance (DLX).
Day 3 - Salzburg
Zurich - Liechtenstein - Salzburg, Austria.
Bus
Drive along Lake Zurich to tiny Liechtenstein for a visit to its capital, Vaduz.
Sightseeing
Next, follow the Arlberg Route into the Tyrol and the pretty mountainous region of St. Johann. Then on through the Wilder Kaiser Mountains to Salzburg, dominated by the fortress of Hohensalzburg. This evening why not enjoy a walk around the Old Town? (B,D)

Day 4 - Vienna
Salzburg - Vienna.
Sightseeing
A guided walking tour explores the city of Mozart's birth and locations in the movie classic The Sound of Music. See Mozart''s family house and the Domplatz.

Later, enjoy breathtaking scenery on a drive past the Mondsee to the Danube Valley en route to Imperial Vienna. (B)

Day 5 - Villach
Sightseeing
Sightseeing includes views of the State Opera, the Hofburg Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Parliament and the Imperial Boulevards. Then a walking tour highlights the oldest sections of the city known as “Am Hof.”
Amusement Parks
Tonight, why not visit Prater Amusement Park or one of the nearby villages for dinner at a lively heurige – an inn? (B)
Day 6 - Villach
Vienna - Piber Stud Farm - Villach.
Sightseeing
Journey to Graz to admire its galleried courtyards and Renaissance squares. Then visit the Lipizzaner Stud Farm at Piber (when open), where the breeding of the athletic white stallions of the Spanish Riding School takes place.

Next, a scenic drive brings you to the town of Villach. (B,D)

Day 7 - Innsbruck
Villach - Innsbruck.
Sightseeing
Striking alpine scenery today on the drive into Italy via Carbonin and Lake Misurina to the Tre Croci Pass. From here, descend to Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Olympic ski resort in the heart of the Dolomites.
Sightseeing
Then travel through the Alps on the return to Austria and the Tyrolean capital, Innsbruck. An orientation tour features the Golden Roof, Wilten Basilica, Hofburg Palace and the Olympic Ski Jump.

Day 8 - St. Moritz
Innsbruck - St. Moritz, Switzerland.

St. Moritz - Stresa, Italy - Zermatt, Switzerland.

Drive via San Bernardino en route to Bellinzona with its three imposing castles. From here, enjoy the scenic journey to Stresa.

View the Borromean Islands, then travel up to Zermatt by electric mini-bus and taxi. (B,D)

Day 10 - Switzerland
Sightseeing
A full day to relax and enjoy this mountain haven. Zermatt is a traditional Swiss mountain village of wooden chalets and window boxes in the shadow of the Matterhorn.

During your free time you can shop, enjoy an alpine walk or perhaps join the optional outing to get the perfect photo of the Matterhorn. (B)
Day 11 - Lausanne
Zermatt - Chamonix, France - Geneva, Switzerland - Lausanne.
Bus
This morning travel into France and to the alpine resort of Chamonix, hugging Europe's highest mountain, Mont Blanc.
Sightseeing
After free time, return to Switzerland and on to Geneva for an orientation tour highlighting the Jet d'Eau, the Flower Clock, and the United Nations Building. Enjoy a walking tour of Old Town and see the Reformation Monument. Then on to Lausanne. (B)

Day 12 - Lucerne
Lausanne - Berne - Interlaken - Lucerne.
Sightseeing
Drive via Berne to view the famous Bear Pit, then on to Interlaken with time to admire the mighty Jungfrau. Continue over Brünig Pass to lakeside Lucerne for a leisurely two-night stay. (B,D)

Day 13 - Zurich
Sightseeing
Today's morning orientation tour passes the Musegg Towers and walls of the Old Town to the Chapel Bridge and Lion Monument. Later, perhaps enjoy an optional cable car excursion up a nearby mountain

Attend a Swiss folklore show or explore the Old Town.
Shopping
Shopping is plentiful, from Swiss watches and jewelry to delicious chocolates.

Lucerne - Depart Zurich.
Airport Transfer
