Striking alpine scenery today on the drive into Italy via Carbonin and Lake Misurina to the Tre Croci Pass. From here, descend to Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Olympic ski resort in the heart of the Dolomites.
Then travel through the Alps on the return to Austria and the Tyrolean capital, Innsbruck. An orientation tour features the Golden Roof, Wilten Basilica, Hofburg Palace and the Olympic Ski Jump.
