Travel into California's picturesque Sonoma Wine Country and stop at a local winery for a guided tour and wine tasting.
At Richardson Grove State Park, take a walk through an old-growth redwood forest. On to the historic Benbow Inn on the Eel River. (FB,D)

Journey along the "Avenue of the Giants," the most outstanding display of giant California redwood trees in the state. Stop in the Victorian seaport of Eureka and stroll along the restored boardwalk. Admire the city’s magnificent houses and their architecture.
Then journey through Redwood National Park and cross the border into Oregon.
Board a jetboat for a thrilling ride along the scenic Rogue River and enjoy the spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife. (FB)

Travel along the Oregon Coast, an area renowned for its dramatic landscape and breathtaking vistas. At the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, take a dune buggy ride climbing and descending through some of the impressive dunes.
Stop for photos of the beautiful Heceta Head Lighthouse, a working lighthouse perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Continue north, arriving in seaside Newport.
Tonight, enjoy a fun bonfire and s’mores party on the beach. (FB)

Following the coast north, turn inland and visit the Evergreen Aviation Museum, home to Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose.
Then drive through the scenic Willamette Valley, Oregon's premier wine country, and arrive in Portland.
Enjoy an orientation tour featuring the city's main landmarks and visit the world-famous International Rose Test Garden. (FB,D)
Stay at Four Points by Sheraton (SF).
Drive along the historic Columbia River Highway, stopping at Crown Point for a spectacular vista of the gorge. Then at Bonneville Dam, learn about the Lewis and Clark expedition and the pioneers on the Oregon Trail. On the way back to Portland, stop at Multnomah Falls, cascading some 620 feet in frothy splendor.

Visit the Mount St. Helens Visitor Center and learn about the volcanic blast of May 18, 1980. Continue west to the rugged coast of Olympic National Park.
Crashing waves, rugged headlands and sandy beaches are yours to enjoy on this stretch of the Washington coast.
Visit the Hoh Rain Forest and take a short walk to the "Hall of Mosses." Tonight, delight in a spectacular sunset from your hotel located on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean. (FB,D)

Journey through glacier-capped mountains and along the wild Pacific coast.
Then ferry across Puget Sound to Seattle.
