Begin the day with breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast there will be orientation on tour details and general information on Ghana and her culture. We shall drive through the campus of the University of Ghana, Legon and visit the University Bookshop to enable you enrich your libraries with a whole new collection from here.
Depart Legon for a visit to the W.E.B. Dubois Centre for Pan African Culture. Re-live the ideals of the early Pan-Africanists who built the foundation of the African Union.
Lunch is served at a Ghanaian restaurant in Accra.
After lunch, we continue with a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, final resting place of the mortal remains of Ghana’s first president. A guided tour of the facility is a summary of our fight for independence.
Spend the rest of the afternoon at the arts and craft market located at the Centre for National Culture in Accra. Enjoy shopping from a wide range of Ghanaian and African artifacts and antiques while testing your bargaining skills.

After breakfast, we shall check out at your hotel, and drive further west to Cape Coast.
Upon arrival, experience the tour of the Cape Coast Castle originally constructed by the by the Swedes in 1653 and later ceded to the British who reconstructed it with dungeons and further fortified it by 1665 and used it in the gruesome Trans-Atlantic slave trade. A guided tour of this former British edifice brings out truths peculiar only to this building.
Lunch is served at a Ghanaian restaurant.
Next, we will tour the St George’s Castle in Elmina, the first prominent European Building in tropical Africa constructed by the Portuguese by 1482. The largest of all the European fortifications along the Gold Coast, this world heritage monument was put to various uses at different times including the slave trade
Finally we will check in at one of our partner hotels in Elmina. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Elmina.
Breakfast is served at your hotel. Depart your hotel and enjoy the drive to Kakum National Park.
Here we spend part of the morning either trekking through or experiencing a bird’s eye view of this beautiful tropical rain forest from the canopy walkway 60 metres above the forest floor.
From here, drive northward to Assin Manso to visit the Donkor Nsuo and also the site of the re-interment of two ancestors – Carson and Chrystal whose families brought their bones from the Diaspora to be laid to rest at home in Africa.
From here, we may stop at a local distillery to see the indigenous way of distilling our local gin.
We shall continue to Obuasi, the site of one of the richest gold reserves in Africa.
We shall have lunch at Anyinam Lodge.
After Lunch, we shall visit portions of the mining area to acquaint ourselves with the wealth we possess in Gold.
We continue even further north of Obuasi to Kumasi, the capital of the Asante Empire.
We shall check in at our hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

After breakfast at your hotel, we shall visit craft villages near Kumasi to afford you the opportunity to have an insight into how our crafts are made. We shall begin with a visit to Ahwiaa the wood carving village, Ntonso the Adinkra cloth village and Bonwire the kente cloth village. In each of these places the experts will explain and demonstrate how the craft is made.
Lunch will be served in Kumasi.
After lunch, we shall continue to the Manhyia Palace, home of the present and previous Asante kings.
We shall visit the Palace Museum where every relic is a story of an empire that was built on gold
From here we shall drive through portions of Kejetia to view the largest open air market in West Africa.
Dinner and overnight at your hotel, Kumasi.
We shall check out at your hotel after breakfast and drive southwards to Accra.
Once in Accra the rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

After breakfast at your hotel, we shall enjoy a drive to the harbor city of Tema located on 0 degree longitude or on the Greenwich Meridian. Here we shall be guests to the Chief of Tema.
The rest of the morning will be spent in his Palace to view various performances on aspects of the way of life of the Ga people.
After lunch, visit the local fish industry in Tema. Learn the processes involved in fish preservation. You may try your hands at turning the fishes as they are smoke dried.
Lunch will be served in a home at Tema.
After interaction with locals we shall finally drive back to have dinner and spend the night at your hotel in Accra.
Check out at hotel and depart for a drive east to the Aflao border.
After immigration formalities, continue to Lome for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, enjoy a drive through the city of Lome to view the Independence Square.
For a summary of Togolese history we will visit the National Museum where relics and artefacts will tell us the story.
We will then visit the fetish market to see witch doctors at work with fascinating items as their stock in trade. From here we will visit the fishing harbour to interact with locals. Finally we will visit the Art Street and Lome central market with its famous “Nana Benz”.
Drive from market to your hotel for dinner and overnight in Lome, Togo.
After breakfast, check out of hotel and depart for Cotonou.
En route, visit Glidji, the spiritual capital city of the Guen tribe of Togo; meet chief priest of the sacred forest and learn about the ceremony of the raising of the sacred stone.
We will continue to Hila Condji to go through immigration formalities once again as we cross over to Benin. After crossing, we will head further east to Ouidah to first visit the historical museum, a former Portuguese slave fort. We shall go through the footprints of our ancestors to experience the slave route which ends at the Door of No Return.
Upon returning we will visit the Temple of the Sacred Pythons.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant in Ouidah.
After lunch we will continue to enjoy our drive eastward to to Cotonou, the capital of the Republic of Benin, our third African Country.
Upon arrival in the city, we will check-in at one of our partner hotels. Dinner and overnight is at our hotel in Cotonou, Benin.
Depart from hotel in Cotonou after breakfast for Abomey the capital city of the great kingdom of Dahomey. En route, stop at Toussaint Louverture, the liberator of Haiti’s memorial and continue to Abomey.
At Abomey, visit Goho historical square and proceed to the historic museum, and ancient palaces of the kings of Dahomey. Visit the museum and interact with palace artisans.
Lunch is at a local restaurant in Abomey.
After lunch we will drive to Abomey-Calavi where we will enjoy a boat ride over the Nokoue Lake to Ganvie, the biggest stilts village in Africa.
While in Ganvie we will visit the village craft centre and ride past the homes to see locals attending to their daily chores.
After this, we will once again enjoy the boat ride back to Abomey-Calavi and drive to our hotel.
This evening we will have dinner with the locals at a marquee in Cotonou.
Return to our hotel for overnight in Cotonou, Benin.
After breakfast, check out and depart hotel for a drive from Cotonou through Hila Condji border to Togo.
We will stop at a restaurant in Lome for lunch before continuing to Aflao border to go through immigration formalities one final time as we return to Accra.
Check in dinner and overnight at hotel, Accra. There will be a Farewell Dinner in your hotel.
