Detailed Trip Description

If you want to see Western Europe's main highlights but don't have a lot of time, this is the vacation for you! Visit Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France. Start in cosmopolitan London with time to discover the capital at your leisure or by joining one of our popular optional excursions. Next, cross the Channel by ferry and board your motorcoach to Brussels, capital of Belgium and seat of most of the European Union institutions. Drive through Germany and enjoy a leisurely Rhine River cruise, then follow the picturesque Romantic Road all the way to Innsbruck, Austrian capital of Tyrol. In Venice, enjoy a boat ride and guided sightseeing of St. Mark's Square, and the stop in Verona will give you a taste of Italy before crossing the Alps into Switzerland to spend some time in beautiful Lucerne. The grand finale is in Paris, “The City of Light," with included guided sightseeing and the option of discovering the city at night. A taste of European flair!

A full day to savor our rich program of optional activities: take a panoramic tour of London’s landmarks, visit the Tower of London, or choose an excursion to Windsor Castle.

Day 4 - Brussels, Belgium

 
London-Brussels, Belgium.

Leave in the early morning and head through the lush English countryside to the Channel port, where you board your ferry for the Continent. Here your Tour Director and comfortable coach wait to take you to Brussels for an overnight. (B)


Day 5 - Frankfurt, Germany

 
Brussels-Rhine Cruise-Frankfurt Area, Germany.
River Cruises

Today journey into Germany to the shores of the mighty Rhine to enjoy the afternoon cruise.

Day 6 - Innsbruck, Austria

The “Romantic Road” is undoubtedly today’s highlight. See picturesque Rothenburg before heading towards Innsbruck for an overnight. (B,D)


Day 7 - Venice, Italy

 
Innsbruck-Brenner Pass-Venice Area, Italy.
Sightseeing

Journey south into Italy by way of the majestic “Europa Bridge” and Brenner Pass. Arrive in Venice where the included tour with a Local Guide starts with a boat ride along the Giudecca Canal to Piazza San Marco, followed by the main city highlights. Also visit a typical Venetian glassblowing workshop. (B,D)


Day 8 - Lucerne, Switzerland

Stop in Verona to see the Juliet's legendary balcony. Over the Swiss border begin the climb to the St. Gotthard Tunnel and descend to the breathtaking beauty of Lake Lucerne. (B,D)

Your visit this morning focuses on the main highlights of Lucerne. Also time for an optional excursion to the Stanserhorn.
