There are few places on earth more spectacularly beautiful than the Canadian Rockies and there is no better way to see it all than on our Alpine Canada journey. Multiple-night stays at two of Canada's most sought-after inside-the-park resorts are a treat for the mind, the body, and the senses. A three-night stay at a most comfortable, yet blissfully remote, lodge high in the Cariboos and accessible only by helicopter is a celebration for the soul. Explore high mountain areas via a helicopter that transports you from one glorious spot to another, each one more astounding than the last. This is truly a life-enriching experience that you will never forget.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Banff, Canada
Welcome to Calgary.
Hotels
Your Tauck Director will be at the airport to greet you beginning at 2:00 PM. Tour departs: Calgary Airport at 3:00 PM. After leaving the Alberta prairies behind and heading into the majestic Canadian Rockies, we invite you to meet your traveling companions during our welcome dinner at The Fairmont Banff Springs resort this evening.

Day 2 - Banff, Canada
Beautiful Banff.
Rafting
Your adventure in the Canadian Rockies begins with a raft trip on the beautiful Bow River. You’ll see Tunnel Mountain, Bow Falls and Surprise Corner as you float along.
Hotels
Take advantage of optional resort activities at The Fairmont Banff Springs, including a great golf course, this afternoon. Meals: Breakfast.

Day 3 - Jasper, Canada
Icefields, Glaciers and Lakes.
Sightseeing
During the scenic drive to Lake Louise, you’ll travel along the fabled Icefields Parkway, reputed to be one of the most dramatically beautiful roads in North America. View Peyto Lake and the Athabasca Glacier en route to The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, set in the midst of Jasper National Park.

Canadian Rockies High – The Cariboos.

The wonderful Cariboo Lodge, set high in the Cariboo Mountains and accessible only by helicopter, will be your most comfortable home base as you explore the astounding hidden beauty of nature’s world. A rare treat lies in store as you drink in spectacular views that most people will never see.

Day 6 - 7 - Canada
Alpine Meadows and Mighty Mountains.
Adventure
During these two magical days, you’ll travel by helicopter from one amazing place to another with our expert guides. Wander in alpine meadows ablaze with wildflowers, climb gentle ridges surrounded by waterfalls or walk on the surface of a mighty glacier. Nature’s palette of mountain masterpieces invites your discovery at your own pace; our guests, not our guides, set the pace of our alpine explorations. Return to the lodge whenever you wish.
Each evening, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and dinner with your fellow explorers, all the while surrounded by breathtaking views.

Day 8 - Calgary, Canada
Back to Civilization.
Buses

Join us this evening for a farewell reception and dinner as we celebrate all that we’ve learned about the natural world and about ourselves during our shared adventure.

Journey Home.
Airport Transfers
