Detailed Travel Service Description

Located in Bago and Waw townships of Bago Division, in an area of 40 square miles. It was established in 1986. It is located 70 miles from Yangon. There are more than 20 species of aquatic grass and herb (Emergent macropytes) including Kaing grass and water in the sanctuary and Notsaba (Oxyza Officinalis) grow particularly in the shallow area of the sanctuary. Kaing grassland is the most suitable breeding ground for water birds. There are 42 species of water birds and 33 species of shore birds. It has been recorded that 4,529 birds inhabit the Moneyingyi wetland wildlife sanctuary. Opportunities permit watching resident and migratory water birds and studying the wetland environment by boat.
