Arrival in Johannesburg in the mid afternoon. Transfer to the Irene Country Lodge, located in Irene on the outskirts of Pretoria. The hotel has a large lake where we’ll do some great sunset birding and enjoy welcome drinks and dinner at the Irene Country Lodge in the evening.

After breakfast depart for Rietvlei Dam Nature Reserve, taking a picnic lunch from the hotel. Enjoy birding in the area, and then proceed through to a local bird sanctuary in the leafy suburbs of Pretoria.
Make a stop at the Blue Crane Restaurant for refreshments, and return to the Irene Country Lodge for overnight on a dinner bed and breakfast basis.
Depart after breakfast for Mpumalanga, making a stop at Milly’s Trout Farm for some birding along the way.
Continue to Nelspruit, the provincial capital of Mpumalanga , for lunch and a visit to the Lowveld Botanical Gardens.
Continue to Hazyview for overnight at the Protea Kruger hotel on a dinner bed and breakfast basis.
Very early departure to the Kruger National Park for a full day in open Landrovers. We take a packed breakfast with us and lunch will be for own account at one of the rest camps. Head northwards today from Skukuza to cover as much ground as possible in the Kruger.
Return to the lodge for overnight on DBB basis.
Another full day in the park, departing with a packed breakfast, heading south today for more variety in vegetation and locations for birding.
Depart the park at sunset and for Malelane overnight on DBB basis.
Another full day in the park, departing with a packed breakfast, spending today in the southern part of Kruger for more variety in vegetation and locations for birding.
Depart the park at sunset and for Malelane overnight on DBB basis.

After breakfast, depart for Swaziland and a visit Malolotja Nature Reserve, one of the few areas where the rare Blue Swallow nests.
Continue to the Royal Swazi Sun hotel for overnight on a dinner bed and breakfast basis.
Morning in Mlilwane Game Reserve , a small reserve between Mbabane and Manzini. Lunch at Swazi Candles, one of the kingdom’s most famous export products. Continue after lunch through the sugar cane plantations and leave Swaziland via Lavumisa border control.
Continue into KwaZulu- Natal to Mkuze area, where overnight at Ghost Mountain Inn on a dinner bed and breakfast basis.
Full day trip to Mkuze Game Reserve in open 4x 4 landrovers, take a packed breakfast and picnic lunch with the group.
Return to Ghost Mountain Inn for overnight on DBB basis.
Get back to Ghost Mountain Inn for early dinner and then do a night drive in Mkuze Game Reserve later that evening.
After breakfast travel through Kwa-Zulu Natal to Durban for the flight to Cape Town.
Lunch en route in the Umhlanga area is included. On arrival in Cape Town, you will be transferred to the Bantry Bay Luxury Suite Hotel for overnight on a BB basis.
Visit Table Mountain and the Cableway at the first opportunity. Full day around the Cape Peninsula including Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope, a seafood lunch in Simonstown and a visit to the local African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach.
Return to the hotel for overnight on a BB basis in Cape Town.
Depart after breakfast to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, set on the back slopes of Table Mountain. Enjoy the beautiful indigenous vegetation and views of the Mountain, and a very good opportunity for birding. Enjoy lunch in Kirstenbosch and in the afternoon visit some of the local nature areas and wetland “vleis” for birding.
Return to the hotel in the later afternoon for overnight on a BB basis.
Visit Gordon’s Bay, Rooi Els, Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, located at Kleinmond and then on to Hermanus for lunch. This coastal town is famous for whalewatching, wineries and beautiful scenery.
Return to Cape Town via Sir Lowry's Pass for overnight at the hotel on a BB basis.
Early morning visit to Rietvlei Wetland Reserve.
Depart from Cape Town for the flight to Johannesburg and the USA.
