Detailed Trip Description

Lake Manyara covers 330 square kilometers, 230 of which are lake. Along its western boundaries is the Rift Valley's western wall. The park is famous for the bird life -- almost 400 different species. It is also famous for the elephant population and the tree-climbing lions. There is a large variety of tree species within the park.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Lake Manyara

 
Safari

Depart Arusha/Moshi in the morning for Lake Manyara, arrive by lunch time. Lake Manyara is 3-1/2 hours west of Moshi.

Game drive

Picnic lunch


A box lunch is also provided daily to be eaten at a designated lunch spot in the parks. The national parks close at 18:00pm, so all game drives are completed by that time.
